2nd trip of 2026
Natchez Trace State
Park Lexington, TN
April 5 - 9
(Barton Springs COE Campground Tullahoma, TN
(Paris Landing State Park, West of Clarksville, TN)
So...... Let me start with we upgraded to a Brinkley I-275 travel trailer. We researched so
many manufactures, floor plans, sizes, and features. Once we walked through the Brinkley I-series
We quickly realized that the I-275 was the right fit for us and especially Bonnie-Roo.
Heidi and I decided that we needed to treat ourselves since our lives were pretty much
on hold the past 3+ years caring for Heidi's parents.
The Winnebago was great and had so much storage and features we loved, however, it was 13 years old
and before anything major happened we decided it was time upgrade
It served us well and happy that it found a new home from the first person that came and looked at it.
Our maiden voyage took us to Natchez Trace State Park near Lexington, TN It was about 160 miles
from home and it was a great choice for a spring/fall camp ground. Our site was level and had full hookups.
We could just make out the water down over the hill and through the fast growing undergrowth.
The park is huge. From the main north gate it is 13 miles to the Pin Oak RV Campground. The park includes
archery, gun range, equestrian stables/camping facilities, boat ramps, swimming beach, volleyball, softball,
basketball, tennis courts, Free Ping Pong and Corn Hole games free to use.
miles and miles of walking trails and plenty roads to ride our e-bikes. They also have available
to rent really nice cabins right on the water. There several picnic areas that also overlook the water. There is even a large group
pavilion with huge fire place and free wood to use. The lodge and restaurant is presently being rebuilt and hope to open
this time next year. Not to worry though, there is a camp store with a food truck that provides your typical items
such as smash burgers, loaded nachos and various fried pies for desert.
