Next Trip

(MAYBE: Old Fort TN State Campground, Tullahoma, TN)

We were able to pull another successful Fall water front campsite.

With exception of the 3 camp hosts, there were only 9 other campers staying here.

We postponed our arrival 2 days to let the sub freezing weather pass and really glad we did.

The nights did dip into the 30's, just required us to add another blanket onto the bed.

Tuesday: Arrival day was cold and windy, so we set up camp in minimal mode.

Our site would be just a few away from the waters edge.

As you can see the lake has been drawn down for the winter.

This trip we did solo due to Steve and Debbie we in South Carolina.

We enjoyed several days of just being able to unwind from our daily chaos.

Wednesday: we ventured out with our e-bikes and viewed various areas of the park.

We explored a trail to the top of the island.

Completed the evening with a campfire and kept watch for the Aurora Borealis. (no luck)

Thursday: per Steve's recommendation we went to the Beechcraft Heritage Aircraft Museum in Tullahoma.

It was really worth the time. As a bonus, they are very pet friendly allowing BONNIE-ROO to accompany us as well.

As always we ate well and alcohol seamed to be present where ever we were.

Friday: Ironically there was waterline break/outage at the main entrance of the park.

This is the second time that has occurred at this park.

Fortunately, we had enough fresh water on board to complete a good rinse of the black tank etc.

Return trip home was uneventful.
