9th trip of 2025
Cedar Creek COE
Campground Mount Juliet, TN
October 5 - 8
(White Acres Campground, Bardstown, KY)
(TBD)
We have been waiting for these 2 sites at Cedar Creek for almost 2 years. They are booked
almost constantly and finally were able to get them. Just as departure day was nearing,
The governmentshutdown could potentially cancel our trip. Calls were made and our reservations were still valid.
The camp hosts were great and everything worked out perfectly.
Arrival evening once camp was set up, we relaxed enjoying the camp fire, having plenty of alcohol, and even watched
The Buffalo Bills under the stars during Sunday Night Football..
Monday we ventured out on our e-bikes, checking out the rest of the park and nearby marina. Unfortunately,
the restaurant and store are closed on Mondays. The rest of the was very nice with allot boats stores there.
Plenty of deer were around, none of them were concerned with us being so close.
We celebrated belated Heidi's and my birthdays as well as Steve and Debbie's 47th wedding anniversary.
Tuesday was a weather transition day. Drizzle began during the night and continued through out the morning.
Not to be deterred, we played games, consumed various snacks, and topped it off with Buffalo Trace Bourbon Creme Root Beer floats.
The weather cleared and the remaining evening was perfect just relaxing around the fire and enjoying the sunset etc.
Wednesday was time to bug-out. The cold front brought cloudy skies and some wind. As we departed the park, the skys cleared
and the trip home was very pleasant.
I replaced my pressure washer pump and was excited to use the foam canon the Jim gave me.
I also wanted to try the 303 Wash & Seal product. It was not totally a hands free operation, but
I was really impressed on how well they worked together. Definitely would recommend it for fiberglass RVs etc.
