After our return from Gulf Shores, AL in early March,  we were really looking forward to this trip to Long Branch COE campground

Steve, Debbie, and Murph joined us once again and is always a good time.

The weather was spectacular.  It was cool, breezy yet clear skies during arrival day

Monday the temperature was in the 80's and we enjoyed scouting around the dam and riding our e-bikes.

We took advantage of the day to just decompress and enjoy our surroundings.

The evenings cooled off and we enjoyed our camp fires each night next to the Caney River.

Tuesday we took Steve and Debbie around the other side of Centerville Lake to Edgar Evans State Park

We camped there last year and our site was completely on wooden deck overlooking the water.

We traveled through the entire park which included the various marinas, restaurant, (to see the turtles),

the visitor center (spiral staircase tower), and the Aviary Interpretive Center.

Wednesday we stuck around camp and played ladder ball, and various games.

As always we eat really good for example Heidi made a charcuterie board paired with wine and beer was awesome.

Bonnie-Roo and Murph had a good time as well and both decided they needed an afternoon nap.

Thursday was departure day, however checkout was not until 2:30pm  We planned a late Brunch  prior to breaking down camp.

As we were sitting having out morning coffee, In comes Rusty Dean and his wife delivering a rental trailer on the site directly across from us.

Rusty worked with Heidi and I out on the west coast and Rusty has retired to Sparta. They could not stay long but did enjoy a cup of coffee with us.

How awesome is that to meet someone on such an arbitrary circumstance.

We completed packing up and returned home without any issues, It was a great trip.
