This trip was a bit different than the others.
NHRA Thunder Mountain National Drag Races were conducted this weekend at Bristol TN.
The original plan was for Jim & Diane, Steve & Debbie, and Heidi & I to attend the races.
However, Debbie had a conflict, so Steve and Murph flew solo.
In short, It became a mens' event. We had great seats for all 3 days.
Diane and Heidi hung at camp for some welcome R&R and watched over the 3 dogs (Bonnie, Murph, and Gus)
Even though the rain played a factor several times we were still able to experience all of racing catagories
The campground was about 20 miles away from Bristol, but the 3 sites were very nice and included full hook-ups.
As always, we ate very well. From Open faced Mississippi beef sandwiches, Taco Pie, and a Steak/Potato Dinner to name a few
Alcohol poured freely which made everything better.
