10th trip of 2024
Fall Creek Falls
State Park, Spencer, TN
November 3 - 6
(David Crockett Birth Place State Park Limestone, TN)
(Gulf Shores State Park AL)
Another great trip to one of the most popular state parks in middle TN.
Unfortunately, we were 7-10 days to late to see the fall colors. good info for next year.
Fall Creek Falls has so many activities available including 18 golf course, plenty of walking and paved biking trails,
basket ball, volley ball, tennis, swimming pool, recreation center, are just a few activities available in the large park.
Piney falls and Fall Creek Falls were nothing more than a trickle due to the recent drought conditions.
Georges hole and the swinging bridge was cool cross and see the falls from another angle
The Lodge and the rental cabins overlooking the lake were really impressive.
Bonnie was a good trooper riding around in her bike trailer watching for squirrel.
The campground was well maintained and clean, however, most of the sites are a challenge to enter and level for rigs our size.
We did some recon and identified potential sites when we return in the future. Bath/restrooms were new and very clean.
WIFI was marginal but good enough to see the election results come in. Cell service was adequate.
Steve, Debbie and Murph joined us once again and were in the adjacent site. Drinks and food was plentiful
We met another couple, Kate and Dale from Knoxville, who joined us at the camp fire and enjoyed the evening together
