Defeated Creek
COE Campground, Near Carthage TN

Enjoying another Corp Of Engineers Park, Defeated Creek COE Campground was another good one.
More than 160 sites most have full hookups. Our site had plenty of green grass and easy water/kayak access.
The park had plenty of grassy areas, 2 swim beaches, 2 boat ramps, and several playgrounds throughout the park.
The only complaints we had was Cell phone service was barely adequate, no WIFI where we were located
and the small gravel that covered the parking pad was a hassle dragging it into the camper.
Unfortunately Steve and Debbie had to cancel this trip in order to attend a family matter in New York.
We were very fortunate to meet Mike and Jane who were our next door neighbors.
They enjoyed time with Aiden and he
decided that they could be his adopted Grandparents.
We will be staying in touch with them and hopefully get together again next
year.
Weather was a mixed bag this trip. We had several nice days which allowed us to use our e-bikes and Aiden enjoyed the Playground.
Tuesday was riddled with thunder storms and intermittent rain. \
However, Tuesday evening was absolutely perfect and enjoyed the fire with Mike and Jane.
Once again, Bonnie kept us safe of those pesky squirrels.
